PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet breakage detector which can easily and reliably detect a breakage such as a crack in a pallet. SOLUTION: This apparatus detects a crack or the like of a plate material 3 on a wooden pallet 1 comprising numerous plate materials 3 which are arranged side by side on a surface of beams provided at predetermined intervals. A detector body 12 comprising numerous breakage detecting limit switches 53 corresponding to the respective plate materials 3 of the pallet 1 provided on a frame 52 having a guide space 51 through which the pallet can pass, and a positioning device 13 for aligning a position of the pallet so that the plate materials 3 of the pallet are positioned correspondingly to the limit switches 53 provided on an upstream of the body 12 are arranged on the midway of a conveyance path of the pallet 1.
