PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength packaging device improving a cargo handling property and also improving a cargo storage quality. SOLUTION: There is provided a packaging device constituted by a cylindrical formed outer box 1, and shock absorbing materials 6, 7 covering both ends of a packaged item 8. There are further provided notches 11 arranged at side surfaces 9a, 10a of the shock absorbing materials 6, 7, and a notch-like slit 12 connecting the shock-absorbing material top surfaces 9b, 10b with the notches 11. Both ends of the top surface 1a of the outer box 1 are provided with slits 2, 3 having the same shape as that of the slit 12 of the shock absorbing materials 6, 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
