PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance working machine that prevents case structure of a transmission case from being complicated, provides combined operation members in a well-kept manner with a simple and inexpensive configuration, and prevents branches and leaves of fruit trees or stalks or leaves of plants from being caught in the machine. SOLUTION: In this maintenance and working machine having a transmission case 2 formed into a dog-leg shape from an input case portion 2a to a wheel case portion 2b equipped with a wheel 10, and a tiller case portion 2c having a rotary portion 3a, and a handle 42 on an upper side of the transmission case 2, an inclined portion 2d on a case side formed on the tiller case portion 2c of the case 2 is covered with a removable case cover 5 having a U-shaped section, having a flat longitudinal cover portion 50.
