PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium to which another performance is easily imparted by post-processing a filter medium made of an existing unwoven fabric without newly developing a filter medium. SOLUTION: The filter medium 4 is made of an unwoven fabric 1, and recessed and protruded parts 1a, 1b are formed by pressing a hot plate 2. The portions of the recessed parts 1b are more dense than those of the protruded parts 1a. The performance of the filter medium 4 is easily controlled by adjusting the pattern of the recessed and protruded parts, and an amount of the crushed recessed parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
