PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-type coupler which efficiently couples two articles by means of a face fastener tape using a string, pipe, ring or the like. SOLUTION: This is the tape-type coupler composed of a tape for ring formation having a first engaging element on both faces of both end parts in the longitudinal direction, and two pieces of tapes for locking installed at the intermediate part of the tape for the ring formation and having two sheets of mutually contacting free ends. The tapes for the locking has a second engaging element at mutually contacting faces of the free ends, and by pinching one end part of the tape for the ring formation by two sheets of the free ends, and by engaging the first engaging element and the second engaging element, this is constituted to form two rings.
