<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a child or a short passenger to reach a destination button arranged on a control panel in an elevator car for a high-rise building. <P>SOLUTION: A main numeric keypad 10 is provided as well as a destination button 7 on a control panel 6 in a car. The main numeric keypad 10 is arranged in the lower part of the control panel 6 in the car. The main numeric keypad 10 has number buttons 11, a 'registration' button 12, and a 'cancellation' button 13. When the number buttons 11 and the 'registration' button 12 are operated, a destination call is registered and a destination call registration light built in the destination button 7 is turned on.
