PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film hardly generating wrinkling in embossing and giving a good embossing. SOLUTION: The polyester film for embossing comprises a polyethylene terephthalate or polyester A mainly containing the same and a polybutylene terephthalate or polyester B mainly containing the same, a weight ratio of the polyester A to the polyester B (A/B) is 20 to 60/40 to 80, a tensile elastic modulus in the flow direction of the film is 2.0 GPa or more, a strength at 5% elongation is 90 MPa or less, and there are at least two melting points measured with DSC in 210 to 270 degree C.
