PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level control device for a work bench in a high lift work vehicle which can always horizontally hold the work bench by an electric motor-driven actuator in no relation to hoisting operation of a boom to be applicable for even a hybrid car and an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: This high lift work vehicle, mounting a boom 3 having a work bench 5 to at least freely operate boom hoisting in a car body 1, is provided with a tilt sensor 10 detecting a difference of a horizontal angle of the work bench 5 relating to a horizontal surface on the ground and an electric motor- driven actuator 11 placing the work bench 5 in a level based on the detection result of this tilt sensor 10.
