PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a body weight-reducing agent for a mammal, especially a weight-reducing agent for a mammal utilizing Clostridium botulinum exoenzyme C3. SOLUTION: By dosing a mammal with Clostridium botulinum exoenzyme C3 as a weight-reducing agent, the weight reduction of the mammal is attained without affecting the external eucrasia of all the body of the mammal. This body weight-reducing agent is used basically by oral administration and can be made into a pharmaceutical preparation by properly compounding with medicinally allowable vehicle, stabilizer, diluent, or the like. Since the effective component is protein, the agent can be made into a storable pharmaceutical preparation by the addition of the vehicle/stabilizer, the diluent, and other additives followed by freeze drying.
