PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer capable of keeping a recording paper flatly even in recording in a paper with relatively high rigidity such as a RC paper, stabilizing carrying performance, and simplifying its constitution. SOLUTION: This ink-jet printer injects ink from an ink head 11 to a recording medium P carried through a carrying passage at a recording position, thereby recording an image. The passage 10 has an angled part 10a bent along the width direction of the medium at the recording position or upstream of the position, and slopes in the upstream side of the angled part to the downstream side.
