PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement junction structure for a fishing rod enabling the length of the whole fishing rod to be regulated while maintaining the condition of the fishing rod with the small diameter difference between the rod bodies. SOLUTION: This engagement junction structure for the fishing rod has the following scheme: the foot side of the rod body 1 is disposed with an approximately cylindrical stopper ring 11 fixed on the outer circumference of the end of the foot side of the rod body 1 in such a condition that the foot side of the rod body 1 is threaded from the tip side to the nearly central point of the rod body 1 in the axial direction and a butt stopper 10 mounted detachably on the rod foot side of the stopper ring 11, and the stopper ring 11 has an inwardly projected fitting projection 11a on the inner circumferential surface of the foot side of the threaded portion of the rod body 1, the projection 11a being engaged with the end of the foot side of the rod body 2.
