PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image processing apparatus capable of generating printing information such that bleeding of a black ink to a color ink printing region is prevented as much as possible, and at the same time an image quality decrease at a boundary part between a black ink printing region and the color ink printing region can be prevented as much as possible. SOLUTION: The color image processing apparatus is provided, which has a boundary region detecting means (21) for detecting at least one of a black boundary region and a color boundary region based on printing information generated on the basis of input image information, a printing information converting means (23) for converting printing information at least for the detected one of the black boundary region and the color boundary region in accordance with a predetermined conversion rule, and a conversion rule variable means (22) for changing the conversion rule used by the printing information converting means (23) in accordance with a color ink used for the color ink printing region in contact with the black ink printing region.
