<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pure nonhuman placental mammal umbilical blood. <P>SOLUTION: This pure nonhuman placental mammal umbilical blood can be obtained by decreasing or stopping the bloodstream from the inside of the mother's womb of a nonhuman placental mammal into the umbilical cord of a fetus delivered together with a placenta, an umbilical cord, and a velamen, then removing the velamen while the bloodstream is being decreased or stopped, cleaning the fetus, umbilical cord, and placenta, causing the bloodstream to flow again into the umbilical cord, and drawing the blood from the umbilical cord. The use of thus obtained umbilical blood enables the preparation of a chimera animal, the discrimination of adaptability of neoformation, the discrimination of transmigration properties of a subject substance from the mother to the fetus, the detection of organ or tissue impairment of the fetus, or the like, to be easily carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
