PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing device capable of operating an aligning plate on a reference side at the time of aligning without changing pressing force of a knurled belt to correct the inclination of a sheet and capable of shortening a processing time without changing the alignment of the sheet to maintain the productivity of an image forming device. SOLUTION: The sheet post-processing device is provided with an ejecting means for ejecting sheets, a stacking means for stacking sheets ejected by the ejecting means, a pair of aligning means each of which can be driven independently to align sheets stacked by the stacking means in a direction orthogonal to a sheet carrying direction, and a controlling means for controlling the aligning means. One of the aligning members of the aligning means repeats pressing and retracting operations to align the sheets and the other member operates as an aligning reference of the sheets, and the latter member is moved by a prescribed amount from a reference position and moved back before completion of the pressing operation of the former member.
