PURPOSE: To easily and accurately detect a moving object from the picture being observed. CONSTITUTION: The device consists of an observing means 1 which acquires the pictures being observed, extraction means 10 which processes plural pictures acquired in time series from the means 1 and obtains optical flow, generation means 20 which generates the estimation picture at the next point based on the optical flow, and means 30 which detects the moving object capable of speedily and stably detecting the moving object by analyzing the generated estimation picture and detecting the part whose background area is behind the moving object. |
