PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the three-dimensional movement of the head in real time from the face image of an unspecified person photographed under an arbitral illumination condition, even by a hardware having low calculation performance. SOLUTION: This device has a flesh color sampling means 6 sampling the image of a part of the face of a target person under present illumination environment, a flesh color extraction parameter adjustment means 7 adjusting a flesh color extraction parameter for extracting flesh color on the basis of sampling data of the sampling means 6, a flesh color area extraction means 8 extracting a flesh color area from a capture image by use of the flesh color extraction parameter adjusted by the parameter adjustment means 7, and a head area extraction means 9 extracting a head area by extracting a maximum area from the flesh color area extraction result. |
