PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device high in utilization factor of light, high in the brightness of a display screen, low in power consumption and long in the service life of a light source. SOLUTION: Three R(red), G(green) and B(blue) primary light Lr, Lg and Lb emitted by a light emitting element array part 2 are shaped to parallel light by shaping optical system 3, and then, the light is made incident on a spatial light modulating part 4. Then, the spatial modulation for every pixel is performed by liquid crystal spatial light modulators 40R, 40G and 40B in accordance with each color image signal S, and the light is enlarged and projected on a screen 6 by a projection optical system 7 after being synthesized by a synthesized optical system 5. |
