PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a gas-insulated switchgear by shortening the connecting distance in each insulating spacer in arc extinguish chambers. SOLUTION: A gas-insulated switchgear is constituted by arranging in parallel a plurality of arc extinguish chambers 59 each having an insulating supporting pipe 50, which houses a fixed-side contact 56 supported by a fixed-side conductive tube and a movable-side contactor supported by a movable side conductive tube, and is coupled with the fixed and movable-side conductive tubes at both ends at prescribed intervals in a metallic container 60. The metallic container 60 is formed to have an elliptic cross section, and the arc extinguish chambers 59 are arranged at the prescribed intervals in the direction of the major axis of the elliptic cross section of the container 60. In addition, the fixed and movable-side conductive tubes and insulating pipe 50 are formed in cylindrical shapes, thick sections 52 which are protruded outward are formed at the facing sections of the tubes and pipe 50 at prescribed intervals in the direction of the major axis of the container 60, and the tubes and pipe 50 are coupled with each other through the thick sections 52.
|
