Automatic control procedure for pressing grapes, employed when using a hydraulic membrane press to extract juice from grapes and applying a pressure in stages, comprising: (a) measuring the volume of juice obtained during the first stage; (b) judging the degree of difficulty in pressing as 'easy', 'normal' or 'difficult'; and (c) making adjustments to the subsequent pressure stages accordingly, is new.
