Current arcing location method for automobile current network uses reduction of supply voltage for each partial network in turn for location of arcing by process of elimination

The arcing location method has the current network (1) checked for detecting arcing, with reduction of the supply voltage for each successive partial network within the overall current network to a given level upon detection of arcing, until the partial network in which arcing occurs is located by a process of elimination. An Independent claim for a system for locating arcing in a current network is also included.
