<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate a failure detector or a device or software configuration which automatically switches current commands in compensating driving force when a failure occurs in redundant motors. <P>SOLUTION: To drive alternating-current motors 1 and 2 by inverters 3 and 4 and control the currents of the individual inverters by current control portions 7 and 8, such a constitution that current sensors 5 and 6 detect currents obtained by adding the currents of the motors to the connecting conductors 1A and 2A of the inverters, respectively, and the detected currents are fed back to the respective current control portions is employed. Thus, if any failure occurs in one of the motor systems, the feedback current is reduced half to double the output of the current control portion in the other sound motor system. As a result, the driving force before the occurrence of the failure is maintained. Further, both the inverters are controlled by one current control portion, and the number of current sensors is reduced to one. Further, such a construction that a plurality of motor elements are integrally installed on the same shaft and the motor elements are so arranged that the windings of the individual motor elements have balanced phase differences is employed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
