<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid incomplete mounting of a supply socket to a discharge bulb, falling of the socket from the discharge bulb after the socket is mounted to the discharge bulb, and connection failure between the discharge bulb and the socket, and to make sure not to impede the inclining of a reflector to which the discharge bulb is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular headlamp 1 is equipped with a lamp body 2, a reflector 5 supported by the lamp body in a freely inclinable manner, a discharge bulb 6 fixed to the reflector, and a supply socket 10 engaged with the discharge bulb by rotation and mounted to it to connect the discharge bulb to a lighting circuit 9. In the rear part of the lamp body, an opening 7 is provided at a position facing the discharge bulb and a cover 8 detachably attached to the lamp body to block up the opening is provided, and a rod-shaped projecting part 13 making contact with or coming very close to a part 10b of the socket when the cover is mounted to the lamp body to prevent the rotation of the socket is provided on the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
