PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic imaging apparatus recording/reproducing image information with a directory structure capable of efficiently designating a directory under which image information going to be reproduced is stored. SOLUTION: The electronic imaging apparatus includes: a reproduction directory selection means for selecting a directory with respect to image information to be reproduced; a reproduction means for reproducing the image information registered in the directory selected by the reproduction directory selection means; and a control means for accessing a file of image data registered in a hierarchical directory while traversing in the ascending or descending direction so as to sequentially access the image information being the reproduction object registered in the directory and for directly designating the directory to access the image information being the reproduction object as its control.
