PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with high safety for enabling an operator to recognize that a recording medium is not normally inserted by preventing a cover from being closed completely with respect to a problem that occurs when the cover is closed while the card type recording medium is not inserted up to a normal position. SOLUTION: A housing part wherein a position at which the recording medium is inserted in a butting state is to be an insertion position, and the cover opened or closed by a turning operation centering on a spindle at the insertion slot for a recording medium are included. When the recording medium is not housed at the insertion position, the operator is made to recognize that the recording medium is not appropriately inserted because the cover is abutted with the recording medium to be prevented from being closed when the cover part is turned in a closing direction by allowing a projection formed on a backside of the cover abutted with the recording medium.
