In an optical pickup actuator comprising a movable portion (10) including a lens holder (12) for holding an object lens (11) and a damper base (22) for supporting the movable portion through a plurality of suspension wires (34) extending from both sides thereof to allow the movable portion to shift up and down and right and left, the movable portion (10) is made of a liquid crystal polymer (40) which is material having a nature where a surface layer (41) thereof is harder than the inside (42) thereof on injection molding. The movable portion has a surface shape (a wavelike surface shape) where a surface area thereof is larger than that of a flat surface.
