PURPOSE: A household electric appliance design assessment method and system is provided to assess an environmental effect, a decomposition time and cost in the life cycle of a household electric appliance, and to extract problems when it is designed so that it can develop an environment-friendly electric appliance. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. Life expectancy data, estimated energy consumption amount and material consumption amount, names of parts, amounts of parts, compositions of parts, physical properties of parts, a manufacturing method, an assembly method of parts, and waste data are input. An environmental effect, a decomposition time and cost are assessed and analyzed based on the input data. According to the assessment and analysis result, a household electric appliance is re-designed or a design of the appliance is determined. |
