An ultrasonic machine provided with a spindle main body (A) and a tip unit (B) removably mounted to the main body. The tip unit (B) is structured such that an ultrasonic oscillator (35) and a support horn (36) are mounted to a housing (30) and a tool (37) is connected to the support horn (36). Tapered faces (13a), (30a) fitting to each other are formed respectively on a lower portion of the spindle main body (A) and on an upper portion of the housing (30) of the tip unit (B). Because the fixing of the lower portion of the spindle (A) and the upper portion of the tip portion (B) is of a two-face restraint type, automatic change of the tip unit (B) is enabled. Tip units (Ba) adjusted in advance are arranged in position, the tip unit (B) is changed freely using an automatic tool change device, and fully automatic, continuous ultrasonic machining is made possible. As a result, not only the working time is shortened significantly, but also labor saving and high-accuracy machining can be realized.
