SURFACE COATING RADIO WAVE ABSORBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave absorber where a material made of volcanic ejecta, especially volcanic ejecta foaming particles is made a base material and a fragment splash restraining measure is given in case the radio wave absorber is damaged. SOLUTION: At least a part of the surface of the radio wave absorber 1 including the volcanic ejecta such as loam foaming particles and a radio wave absorbing material is coated with a coating material 2 such as a cloth material. When the coating material 2 itself has adhesive property it is bonded by adhesion. When it does not have adhesive property, it is bonded through an adhesive or by thermal bonding or just wrapping the absorber and fastening them together without bonding the radio wave absorber 1.
