PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing performance between a sealant and an electric wire without deteriorating sealing performance between a cover, a housing, and the sealant. SOLUTION: In this waterproof connector, the frame-shaped sealant composed of an elastic body for penetrating the electric wire in the orthogonal direction is arranged between the housing and the cover, and a pressure contact terminal housed in the housing in a central hole of the sealant is branched off and connected to the electric wire. A rib projects upward from an inner peripheral wall of the housing, and is fitted in a rib fitting groove bored in the vertical direction in an inner peripheral surface of the sealant. The rib prevents a horizontal directional extent of an electric wire inserting groove by a press from above and below by the housing and the cover, and attains waterproofness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
