PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which does not easily have leakage from the terminal part in the control valve type lead acid storage battery using a L-shape terminal 1. SOLUTION: On the side portion 14 of the L-shape terminal which comprises an electrode pole insertion hole 3 at the bottom portion 13 and a lead wire connection hole 5 at the side portion 14, a protrusion 2 which protrudes to the opposite direction to the bottom portion 13 and of which lower face contacts a step part 8 formed on the cap 7 is provided. The cap 7 is provided with a plane portion 15 that contacts the bottom portion 13 of the L-shape terminal 1 and a step part 8 that contacts the lower face of the protrusion 2. And in the state that the bottom portion 13 of the L-shape terminal 1 and the lower face of the protrusion 2 are contacting the cap 7, the engaging portion of the L-shape terminal 1 and the electrode pole 11 is welded and enclosed by filling an epoxy adhesive.
