PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle beam device capable of arbitrarily and selectively providing a region having excellent responsiveness and noise removing capability in an image frame in accordance with the feature and operability of an image. SOLUTION: A digital picture element signal of a specific address from an analog-digital converter 9 is fed to an IIR image filter computing unit 31, firstly multiplied by a filter coefficient (α) of the specific address from a first filter coefficient frame memory 32, and fed to and stored in an frame memory 11 via a adder 16. The memory address of the frame memory 11 is determined according to a scanning signal from a scanning signal generator 6. An picture element signal of an address according to the scanning signal is read from the frame memory 11, multiplied by a filter coefficient (1-α) of the specific address from a second filter coefficient frame memory 33, fed to the adder 16 to be added, and fed to a cathode-ray tube as the picture element signal.
