The invention relates to the nonchemical treatment of water systems, in particular to the magnetic treatment of liquids and can be used for heat power plants, boiler plants, heat supply systems and for other technologies which require to prevent scale formation and corrosion and for the petrol industry in order to prevent the formation of resin-paraffin deposits on the internal surface of pipes. In the first embodiment, the inventive device comprises a magnetic water treatment unit, a nonsinusoidal oscillation generator arranged in such a way that it transmits said oscillation to the mass of the treated water system. The magnetic water treatment unit comprises an external magnetic circuit embodied on the base of shell-type E-shaped magnets or constant magnets and a hollow internal magnetic circuit provided with ferromagnetic separations forming a labyrinth channel. In the second embodiment, said device comprises a magnetic water treatment unit and an electromagnetic activator directly adjacent to said magnetic water treatment unit with the aid of a working chamber, thereby producing an additional action on the water system which passes through said magnetic water treatment unit by frequency characteristics of the magnetic field of the magnetic activator by means of a water system modulated by said magnetic field and passing through the working chamber. The treatment of the water systems in the inventive devices is jointly carried out by a continuous alternating-sign magnetic field and a wave action.
