Recording device for recording the time curve of a switchable measurement signal on a recording medium. The device comprises means for transport of the recording medium (14) and means for support and movement of a pen over the medium. The device has a central bus circuit board (11) with sockets (15) on either side and is fixed in a housing (10). All further components can be exchangeably plugged into the circuit board.
