PURPOSE: A stop rubber of a shock absorber is provided to improve the riding comfort by installing a stop rubber and preventing the generation of noise when a shock is absorbed. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(100) for a vehicle has an inner pipe(120) filled with oil, an outer pipe(110) half filled with oil and installed outside the inner pipe, a piston valve(132) for generating damping force by upward and downward in the inner pipe, and a piston rod(130) combined with the piston valve and extending to the exterior of the outer pipe. A rod guide assembly(140) for the sealing of the guide of the piston rod and the outer pipe is installed on the upper end of the inner pipe. A stop rubber(160) is fitted in the inner pipe. Inside the stop rubber, a chamfered portion(162) is formed. The stop rubber prevents the generation of noise.
