<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which a photographic processing mode can be easily set in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: This digital camera includes a lens part 1, an imaging device 2, a driving part 3, an analog signal processing part 4, an A/D converting part 5, a digital signal processing part 6, a memory 7 for output, a compression and expansion processing part 8, a system control part 9, a media interface 10, an image monitor 11, and an operating part 12 including a release button 13. An operation state signal of the two-stage stroke type release button 13 is sent to the system control part 9, a half-press time measuring part 92 detects a half-press time, and a photographic processing mode determining part 91 determines a photographic processing mode corresponding to the half-press time.
