<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize recording operation and/or reproducing operation by exactly adjusting a relative position relation between an optical disk and a stabilizing member employed for suppressing the face deflection of the optical disk by utilizing air force by Bernoulli law and by exactly agreeing focus position of an optical pickup with the face deflection stabilizing position of the optical disk in carrying out recording/reproduction by using a sheet optical disk having flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: A tracking error signal is monitored by a signal from a detector in the optical pickup 6 with a focus servo turned off. The Z axis position and the tilt angle of the stabilizing member 8 is adjusted by operating a Z axis stabilizing member/pickup unit position control portion 40, an X axis stabilizing member/pickup unit tilt angle control portion 42, a Y axis stabilizing member/ pickup unit tilt angle control portion 43 so that the maximum amplitude applied to the one-rotation optical disk 1 to be used may be 50% or more of the maximum amplitude of a tracking error signal in a reference disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
