DIGITAL/ANALOG BROADCAST RECEIVER WITH HIGH-SPEED FULL RANGE SCAN FUNCTION FOR BROADCAST CHANNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital/analog broadcast receiver capable of full range scan processing in a shorter time. SOLUTION: The full range scan processing comprises: first detecting a broadcast signal over all frequency bands of a terrestrial digital broadcasting (#1); discriminating that a transmission path of the broadcast signal is a ground wave when the digital broadcast signal is detected (YES in #2) and then detecting broadcast signals over all frequency bands of a ground wave analog broadcasting (#3); discriminating that a transmission path of the broadcast signal is a cable wave when no digital broadcast signal is detected (NO in #2) and detecting broadcast signals over all frequency bands of a cable wave broadcasting (#4); and storing and setting channels discriminated to be receptible on a channel map as a result of the detection of the broadcast signals.
