PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera system capable of preventing an important mask object from being not masked. SOLUTION: The mask image can be superposed on an imaged image by using an OSD circuit 1c. The mask image can be set to four at the maximum at one camera image angle and totally to eight pieces. A priority order is set to the eight mask images. A microcomputer of the camera system 1 processes to change a display position (superposing position) of each mask image in the camera image angle in response to panning/tilting the camera body 1a. If the objects exceeding four to be masked are in the same camera image angle, four mask images are selected according to the priority order. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
