PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital image processing apparatus capable of converting a moving picture into a still picture and easily printing the still picture on recording paper. SOLUTION: The digital image processing apparatus reads a moving picture recorded in a moving picture memory 221, allows a file form conversion section 22c to convert the read moving picture into a still picture, interleaves a prescribed number of frames from the converted still picture at an interval of a prescribed number of frames, arranges and displays the prescribed image data subjected to interleaving in time series on a monitor, selects at least one still picture from the displayed still pictures, and prints out the still picture corresponding to the selected still picture and whose file form is converted by the file form conversion section 22c on print paper.
