<p>A moving picture coding is performed by adaptively switching between use of a plurality of decoded moving picture signals as reference frames to create a prediction macro block image from one of the plurality of reference frames for each macro block, isolation of a reference macro block from a plurality of reference frames to obtain an average value as a prediction macro block image, and isolation of a reference macro block from a plurality of reference frames to create a prediction macro block image by linear extrapolation or linear interpolation according to a frame-to-frame distance between the reference frame and the coding frame.</p> |
