Electronic signature process has the following method steps: a document to be signed is stored in a generally accessible server (ESS) and a table for comments and a further table for presentation of the intended flow sequence and the current status are produced. The document and the tables are linked so that they can be seen together by a browser. The participants to the process are determined and informed by e-mail of the address at which the document and tables can be seen.
