The shelving system (1) is assembled of a frame (2) with a number of shelves (3) and at least one module (6) which can be slid along the front of the frame (9) on horizontal guide rails. The shelves (3) can be filled with fittings and accessories (15), while the sliding module (6) is provided with models or original objects (13, 14) to be provided with some of the accessories (15) and vice versa. The customer can check on the spot if the chosen parts fit to his already existing items or to those he is planning to buy.
