PURPOSE: A portable terminal is provided to analyze a wireless signal to decide whether a service network is accessible, when a system power is turned off, and to display a decided result, thereby enabling a user to recognize whether the service network is accessible without turning on a system. CONSTITUTION: A display(18) and a supplementary power supplier(12) are comprised. A microcomputer(20) analyzes a wireless signal sensed through a wireless transceiver(7), and decides whether a service network is accessible, then displays a decided result on the display(18). If system power supply is suspended from a main power supplier(9), a power controller(10) applies a driving power to a series of components only displaying whether the service network is accessible, based on the wireless signal received through the wireless transceiver(7), and controls the supplementary power supplier(12). |
