The invention relates to an installation for artificial rainbow generation and the observation of same. The inventive installation comprises an adjustable rainbow generator or a water curtain generator and an observation platform which are combined in a functional manner. Said water curtain generator (4) comprises a plurality of uniformly-distributed sprayers which project water upwards, thereby producing a homogeneous water curtain. The aforementioned observation platform comprises a circular tank (3) and a rising-observation ramp which surrounds the tank (1), the height of said ramp at each point being dependent on the geographical latitude. The observer takes up position on the observation platform with his/her back to the sun and the rainbow generator is disposed perpendicularly to the solar rays at a determined distance opposite the observer. In this way, the observer can view the primary rainbow (5) generated by the incidence of solar radiation on the drops of water.
