<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector capable of preventing an uplink signal sent from an information terminal from being leaked to a reception terminal via branching distribution means 31, 32 resulting in disturbing transmission of a downlink signal. <P>SOLUTION: The two-distribution type protector 6 with a data terminal 63 provided to a two-way CATV system for transmitting a downlink signal and an uplink signal and connected between a service wire branched from a trunk line and an indoor distribution line, includes: a high pass filter 36 placed on a first transmission path between an output terminal 62 for connection to a reception terminal and the branching distribution means 31, 32 and for passing the downlink signal to the reception terminal; a low pass filter 38 one terminal of which is connected to the transmission path between the branching distribution means 31, 32 and the high pass filter 36; and a termination resistor 39 connected to the other terminal of the low pass filter 38 for absorbing the uplink signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
