IN-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle communication system where no power supply line wiring is needed for a mobile information terminal and an onboard appara tus is not necessarily equipped with a communication interface by a power supply line.

SOLUTION: A first onboard LAN system 12 is provided with a first communication gateway section 17 for mutual communication to a wireless communication 16 from the system making CAN (Controller Area Network) communication through a power line 11, and a second communication gateway section 18 is interposed between a second onboard LAN system 14 making CAN communication using an existing communication line 13 and the first onboard LAN system 12. Inter-communication is available among three systems of the wireless communication 16, the CAN communication in the power line 11, and the CAN communication by the existing communication line 13. Further, installation of new onboard units 20 to 27 is facilitated.
