<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting unit that can introduce light irradiated from a semiconductor laser device to an optical waveguide type SHG device by a simple adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting unit includes the semiconductor laser device 51 and the optical waveguide type SHG device 56 that generates a second higher harmonic of the light irradiated from the semiconductor laser device 51, wherein an optical fiber 42 is provided that guides the light irradiated from the semiconductor laser device 51 to an optical waveguide 56a formed on the optical waveguide type SHG device 56, by which a relative positional relation between the semiconductor laser device 51 and the optical fiber 42 and a relative positional relation between the optical fiber 42 and the optical waveguide type SHG device 56 can be independent each other and can be adjusted separately each other to reduce complexity in collimation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
