Method, device and system for preventing the unintended or delayed deployment of a passenger protection member (7) of a safety device (17, 20, 21) in a vehicle or craft, that includes an explosive charge (6) and an ignition (4, 5) for igniting the explosive charge (6), where the ending of an operative condition of the vehicle or craft is detected, and the ignition is automatically disarmed after a time delay in response to detection of the ending of the operative condition of the vehicle or craft.
