Sealing method for leak in e.g. dam wall, by adding bacterial growth promoting agent to ground water upstream from leak

A nutrient for promoting the growth of bacteria in the ground water is delivered to the soil upstream from the leak and is carried through the leak, the growth in bacteria serving to stem the flow of water through the leak. The method is used to seal a leak in a water-retaining underground construction, e.g. a dam wall, clay wall or film.
