SIGNAL GENERATING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generating circuit capable of generating a reference phase signal and an orthogonal signal with a high frequency and high accuracy.

SOLUTION: A 90-degree distributor 3 of a signal generating circuit SG1generates an intermediate reference phase signal ISREF and an intermediate orthogonal signal ISQR whose phase is orthogonal to that of the intermediate phase signal from a local oscillation signal SL0received through an input terminal 1 and provides an output of them to mixers 6, 7. A phase shifter 4 shifts the phase of the local oscillation signal SL0received from an input terminal 2 by a predetermined amount to generate a phase shift signal SSFT and outputs the generated signal to the mixers 6, 7 through a distributor 5. The mixer 6 mixes the received intermediate reference phase signal ISREF with the received phase shift signal SSFT to produce the reference phase signal SREF. The mixer 7 mixes the received intermediate orthogonal signal ISQR with the received phase shift signal SSFT to produce an orthogonal signal SQR.
